Default What do you guys think of this cam?

I bought this cam and Im having it installed what do you guys think of these specs? I know its not an MS4 or TREX cam but, I think it should still make some good power.(I hope)

Basic Operating RPM Range: 2,500-6,500
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 228
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 228 int./230 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 344
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 344
Advertised Duration: 344 int./344 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.585 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.585 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.585 int./0.585 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112

Its not HUGE but you will see some good numbers with it.

Do you have heads also?

Cool. Yea you will def make some good power with that cam and the high compression heads.

That cam seems like it is close to the comp cam that I am going with. I have researched it and it seems like a really nice cam, pretty good power all around.

Its mild, but u should make great power along w/ the heads. Keep us posted when u dyno ur car.

look for strong mid-upper rpm trq, and 410+hp with those heads and cam profile. cam specs look right for your combo though. just curios on ICL? i'm guessing it's 108.

Yep, Jackpot, thats exactly what it is. Its at the shop now, Ill keep you guys posted on the numbers that I make.

Just so everyone knows this is a trick flow stage 3 cam, that Im using.

XER 230/230 .591? Thats what I'm getting and it should be here Monday. Unfortunately my budget doesnt allow for some nice heads, so i bought some 241's with PRC dual springs and titanium retainers off of a member.

I hope so, I originally went with the ms3, but found out that with oversize valves I wouldnt have any ptv clearence. So I settled for this cam, we'll see how she does on the dyno.

actually no, I am going with a non XER lobe, it is the 228/230 with somewhere around .585 lift on 112 lsa. Hopefully I am gonna have it all together wed or thurs

I should get mine together next weekend. I was hoping to have all the parts here this weekend, but that was a no go. Are you an a4? Let me know what kind of power you make.

Those are close to the same specs as my cam. But mines a trick flow cam.
