Milling STOCK HEADS Would there be any benefit to milling stock 5.7 heads on my '01? By stock I mean no porting or valve changes I am going with a 224/224 .560 .560 on 112 anyway. I don't have the cash for a set of ported heads yet also how good are the Patriot Performance stage 3 5.3 heads. I'm serious about wanting some compression. Also any other words of wisdom are very much appreciated.

Re: Milling STOCK HEADS Piston to valve will be your main issue with that cam. If you don't have access to proper cam degreee or valve/piston checking equipment, decide on the safe play and only mill the heads enough to ensure proper head gasket sealing. Larger valves can lead to less valve/piston clearance. Can't comment on Patriot's heads since we haven't seen them yet.

You should be fine. I would go with 918's a minimum for that size a cam.
