LS6 motor w/ tr224 opinions?
I think you would like the TR224 on a 114 LSA. It has a hint of a lope but nothing great too with a quiet exhaust, but if you have a loud exhaust or a cutout you will definitely hear the lope on a 114.
Man the amount of misinformation in this thread is incredible.
You WILL gain HP. You should be close to if not over 400 at the wheels with the TR224 and the 243 heads.
The 114 will not lope very badly, your tuner can adjust your idle to reduce the lope. You won't be able to get rid of it completely but bumping your idle about 100 RPM will hide it rather well. A good tech may notice the increased idle and a really good tech will pick up on the cam pretty quickly. Good thing a really good tech is hard to find
As for the warranty its a crap shoot. Technically pretty much any mod can lead to a denial of service however the Magnuson Moss act puts the burden of proof on the dealers service dept to prove that that mod caused the issue you are complaining about.
That being said there are a few "mod friendly" dealerships that don't care or will look the other way. Some common sense needs to be applied. For instance a motor mod shouldn't void the warranty for the interior, paint etc. But if you swap in a big cam tune it and the motor goes boom you shouldn't be asking the dealership for a new one.

Very well said, Im bar far no idiot when it comes to modding a car and needing warranty work. If I have a a/c compressor go out in 2k miles I don't want the tech walking up to the car and saying well it sounds like you have a cam in the car that could have put a load on things and caused the a/c to go out. If I have to I will drive the car all the way to DC to talk with good dealer. I figured I would just use HPT to bump up the idle a bit and that will help for sure. Im thinking thisthing should be pretty damn fun to drive here in a few months. Thanks for the input on the subject.
