Default Dumb newb question

How much abuse can the stock crank stand up to? I decided to stick an LQ4 motor in my Camaro. Im not used to the LS stuff. Do I need to order an aftermarket crank or can I use the stock crank.

I plan on putting a turbo on it and I want to make sure I dont break anything. If necessary, I will buy a forged crank.

All responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance! I tried to search but the search feature is acting goofy.

The stock crank has been 8's but if you talk to any of the shops that build fast cars they will start recommending a forged crank before you get to that point.

Stock cranks are good for over 900+ rwhp. Which... depending on your drivetrain, thats 950-1000 fwhp. If your going turbo its a good way to save a little cash, over $1000.00 for a after market crank.
