Default HELP!!! Car wont run

Ok well today on the way to one of my buddies houses, i got on the gas up to about 4500rpms when all of a sudden a hear a semi loud bang..The car dies out almost immediatly and does not start again.....I had one of my neighbors come take a look at it and he said something about a oil sender?? I think thats what it was..If the oil sender went out would it cause the car to shut off and not be able to start up???..There was a little bit of oil on the ground where i finally stopped the car but nothing excessive..There were no signs of a knock or anything..The motor will still turn over and there are no strange noises coming from the engine bay...Oil pressure is @ 0 BTW..And the oil seems to only be on the passenger side of the car..Although no oil in the engine bay..Any thought guys???

It sounds like possibly a broken timing chain.

But would a broken timing chain cause oil to leak out of the motor? Remember there was NO oil anywhere in the engine bay..When i looked underneath it, i saw oil only on the passanger side bottom of the car...

That sucks, but if there was a bang, it is something more than a sensor. I vote broke timing chain. How many miles are on your car? Is it stock valve train?
