Default Question on Heads

I was just wondering what exactly are the differences between bare and assembled heads

Bare heads are just that, they are bare. They usually don't have valves, springs, retainers, or locks, sometimes without guides even.

Assembled heads have everything except the pushrods, rockers, and gaskets, ready to bolt on. All important measurements, like installed height and coil bind, are checked and setup for you.
