Default crank grinding, offset grinding

I have a friend in Ct. who can do the offset grind and have the crank nitrided after.

What's an offset grind? Firing timing or give the rods more space?

it adds stroke and reduces rod journal size.

To change the stroke. Most people do it for more stroke. Here in Southern California I know of two very good places.

Oh, got it, memories from the old days. I didn't think that was worth the while anymore with off the shelf stroker cranks and drawbacks of weakening the crank.
