Which rod bolts?
I went ahead and put the Katechs in mine because I knew for sure I didn't have to resize/rebalance the rods. I wasn't sure about the ARP's because I had seen so many different opinions. But I'm sure either one will work for you.

i fellow told me ---> ARP bolts are longer and have a higher torque spec. Without removing the rods and having them re-sized for the new torque I'm affraid that they slightly distort the roundness of the rod journal. The Katech bolts are more like the stock ones, just made of better material.

Katech bolts Katech bolts weigh the same, are the same length and require the same torque. All of this equals a rod bore that is sized as it was from the factory. The ARP's are 3 grams heavier per bolt (6 grams per rod).
When I balance an engine I am shooting for component weights within a gram of one another and rotating and reciprocating weight within 3 total (on the high side).
You be the judge on how happy you want your engine to be.
Bothe seem to have worked for people. The ARP's WERE NOT designed to be a direct replacement like the Katechs. The Katech fastener is of VERY HIGH quality, it surpasses the ARP in terms of tensile strength.
