What is the stock bore on an LS1? I'm looking to buy an Eagle rotating assemble with a 4.100" stroke to take the car to 393ci. It says the available bore size is 3.905". Is this stock bore, or will the block need to get machined?

Why the 4.00 stroke? Would the block still need to be machined? Does the block need to be honed with all stroker kits?

 

Yes the block needs to be honed regardless. The block also needs to be clearanced for 4.00 stroke and above.

The reason I say stay with 4.00 stoke is a longer stroke will have some oil consumption issues due to the length of th LS block sleeves.

A 4.00 stroke will last much longer (more reliable)
