Most likely cause of valvetrain noise?...
Most likely cause of valvetrain noise?... Ok guys..I'll describe this the best I can. Besides the typical LS1 noise, my car seems to have more valvetrain noise than I think it should. It plays out like this...lets say I leave my car in 2nd gear, and accel slow...while under accel no noise, under decel no noise, if I hold it right at 2,100 rpms and rock in and out of it gently its a "loose clatter" type sound...Normal?...Something to worry about?...Should I just stop being paranoid?.. 
mine sounds a little excessive around 1800 rpm. Idle its fine, but around 1800 rpm it makes too much noise IMO. Brand new motor, only has 3000 miles on it. It does have a cam, dual valve springs, ls7 lifters, hardened pushrods. I just learned to live with it.
