Default Need a cam to make power in stock rpm range

As the topic states, I'm looking for a cam that I can drop in that I don't have to spin above the stock rpm range to make decent power. So obviously I'm not looking for a giant chuck norris cam to make my dyno-***** appear larger than normal. The vehicle is a 100% street driven and, I'm going to bet, not going to see any track time. I am looking into a stall in the 3000 range as well if that helps any. I'm kinda lost as far as what cam to look at so any help would be appreciated.

I'd really recommend the patriot cam. I have it and i LOVE it. 224/224, would also probably be a good choice for a mild-medium sized cam with great gains, great driveability and you wont have to rev it to the moon.

Would I benefit anymore from a split cam as opposed to an asymmetrical cam like the tr224 since I am running midlength headers and not long tubes?

228R akes great power, tis not a small cam, but its not large either.

it peaks from 6200-6400

makes killer power in mid range and shines up high as well

But I'm not looking to spin my stock tranny past the standard rev limiter until I know I can shell out a unit that can take more abuse. But I'll replace the tranny when it breaks, I'm not one for upgrading a unit that I know will probably let me down in the long run.
