Race the cam before a tune?

Ok, I just installed a TR224 on a 114lsa. I know I should get it tuned for optimum performance before I race it, but I really, really want to know what it'll do before a tune.

So, who says I should risk it and tell me why you voted the way you did...

Very true thought, but the TR website just says "recommended" and I've ran it pretty hard on the street w/ no problems thus far...

why not just go ahead and get it tuned? better safe then sorry, you could probably get better all around performance out of it with a tune as well.

I probably will, but I really wanted to know how much the cam does, then how much the tune does on the track. I guess I'm always skeptical about dyno numbers and the track is where it counts for me, I really want to know the $400 I put down for the tune is really worth it.
