I love my hotcam!
click on my sig and you can see the videos of the way it sounds and when mike at straightline was tuning it!
Good luck and dont let the other guyz running donkey dick lift cams tell you that these cams are a waste of time, they are not. Its your ride! do what YOU want!
Just compliment your mods, like better oil pumps, better timing chain, better pushrods, better springs, thermostat.
Good luck!

ls6 cam is great if you want more topend, it really only shows up after 4000rpm, but the cool part is that where the stock cam starts to die, ls6 just keeps going up and up. i have the ls6 cam with ls6 intake, lid and magnaflow. stock headers, stock heads, stock converter, 3.73 gears and a heavy 17x11s out back. still dynoed 364/349 at the wheels on a super hot and humid chicago day on a mustang dyno. the coolest part about it is that noone will ever tell that's not a stock cam, because it drives absolutely perfect, i had it idle at 520rpm for giggles once and it was lexus smooth. it's all in the tune though, i had a mail tune for it and it sucked hard, it actually ran slower than pre-cam/tune. tuned it myself and it made a huge difference even after the first iteration. and then it only got better and better. fantastic daily driver cam, unless you want stupid amounts of power at 2500rpm sort of thing (which is solvable with gears/stall/headers).

My "fake LS6" idles perfectly smooth at stock idle speed when warm since I did a little tuning to it. Basically all I did was copy over the VE table from a stock LS6 and the idle airflow tables. The IAC counts are <90 with the AC on.

I don't think I would say the LS6 cam is all top end... it just has more top end then the truck cam you begin with. Mine does peak at 6100 (which is all it was dynoed up to) though so I will have to think about raising the rev limit... I also have the 243 heads/valves/springs off a Z and LTs though.
