I did..Well..they were milled & ported with bigger valves.
So all you need is a set of PRC duals or 921 type springs.

that is a nice trap speed. my 233/239 is on a 114 lsa and i installed it dot to dot. its got 8 degrees of overlap and is pretty lopey but i wish i would have gotten on a 113 or 112. I shift at 6500, limiter set at 6800.

for what the 5.3 heads are they are awesome middle of the road heads that perform great, and the guys at texas speed are top notch to deal with

I wouldn't hesitate to go with their 233/239 heads cam package w/ the 5.3's....

you should be doin 1.6's with that setup if you can hook. if I can hook up mine, you shouldnt have a problem either. with 17" drag radials I hook very well. no problem. same 3800 stall, prolly just a little less HP then that setup will make in your car. but Im sure my cubic inch's will give me more low end torque. anyways, sorry, but the rear gear will be hit or miss. some last long time at these time's/power level, some dont last long at all. I'd bet the 3:73's wont last, as mine didnt. but some 3:42's will last a long time I bet.

If the rear end is set properly..& you used a Motive or Precicision gear set & a girdle,3.73's last alot longer than you might expect.
I sold my original 10 bolt that had been upgraded with all of the parts I just mentioned to a guy whose running an LS2 swap in his 98...It's got LT's,spray & a stall..He cuts at least 1.7's on it & runs 11's .It's been in the car over a year & I dont think he even took the cover off to inspect it when I sold it to him.
Autos just arent as hard as six speeds on driveline parts..
Just never wheel/dry hop.

ive got a 3800stall with 3.73's with the stud kit and girdle. i cut 1.7 60fts consistently but of course i havent got the heads yet. i agree with by rice that on auto's the rear seems to last alot longer.

Notice I didn't say Richmonds..
The only times I've ever broken a ring & pinion..It was a Richmond. They are noisey pieces of fragile **** & I avoid them like the plague.

No flycutting here. I'm definitely cutting it close though.

I highly recommend for you to measure PTV to make sure.
