switched from stock to 243s and a cam thats .581/.581 224/220 on a 116

without a tune i drove her today and she felt slower than before, is this possibly bc its untuned with a reverse split?

 

"felt slower"? Time it and see if it IS slower.
And yeah of course it needs to be tuned. You just put in a cam that needs more revs than stock.

 

I put in a cam into my full bolt on 98...

"it felt slower" is something I would say... but then again the dyno says 380hp and 370ft/lb... and throughout the torque curve I picked up around 15-20ft/lb..

I figured out it was the rear tires breaking traction in 1st and 2nd that made it feel slower...

 

NO tune NO performance . tune it and enjoy
