ok it is raining real bad down here and i got stuck in a flash flood in my camaro. i just got the new motor in 450 miles ago. now there is a kinda knocking sound. if i have full coverage do yall think i could file a claim. or is there anything i could do.

you could contact your insurance company and tell them where your car is and they will send a inspector to come listen to the engine. Your best bet is bringing it to a shop and have them make up an estimate before the inspector gets there.

would i have to let the shop fix it. i could do the work. hell i built the engine. i would like to contact the insurance company.

You probably pulled some water into your motor. Since water doesn't like to compress I'm sure you bent something. Sorry to hear about that...especially with a new motor. I would contact your insurance agent and explain the problem. Hopefully you have all of your receipts for the aftermarket parts. They may ask you to take it to a certain shop instead of sending out an inspector. Either way, you should find out what the problem is. That shouldn't be too hard for you since you built it.
