Default Engine Rebuild

Hey guys, before too long I'm going to put all the stuff in my car i keep buying: heads, cam, full boltons....my car has just under 80k miles. I'm going to end up pulling the engine so i can throw in new rod bolts and motor mounts while I'm in there. I was curious how much it would cost me to take my engine to a shop and have them replace all the bearings and all that jazz. I just want the extra insurance that I'm not going to throw a bearing in a couple years. Thanks.

Will you be pulling the engine to take to the shop? Have you thought about just going forged while it was there?

Yeah I'll be pulling it and taking it to the shop (price permitting). I thought about going forged but I really don't anticipate needing anymore power than 450rwhp (my goal) as it is a DD. Shouldn't really need to go forged for that, but then again there's always future mods right? Out of curiosity, about how much would it cost to go forged? I should have a decent bit of cash left over from this deployment but i'm planning on saving a chunk of it for my 9" when my 10 bolt goes out.

Alright, did a little looking around and found it's not cost effective for me to get forged internals at this point. Now I'm just looking for a ballpark figure for how much a shop would charge me to have the bearings put in if I provide them. Thanks guys.

Oh wicked, I was hoping it would be somewhere close to 500...might as well get new rings while I'm at it.
