how are say, TEAs 5.3 stage 1.5s vs sdpc ported ls6 heads?

i would say the perform about the same flow wise, track wise i have no idea. The one thing about those heads is they are milled .055 and most the big cams wont work with them. How big is your cam, the 1.5's have been proven at the track, but personaly i would go with the s2's.

the ported ls6 ones are milled .055". Go with the 5.3's, tell tea what size lift you have and they will build a set of heads for it.

I really think no one knows the answer to how much better LS1 heads are than LS6... I just seem to get the run around or side stepping answers on how they are fine... I want dyno numbers or some comparison that a non-engine builder will understand!

I believe LS6 compression is 10.8 to 1

I have not seen conclusive dyno numbers but my thinking is that the increased flow of LS6/6.0 heads have to add some value.

I think the GM CNC LS6 heads are a pretty good deal.

if they are milled 0.55 i wouldnt go above 580 imo...unless you cut the piston.
