i purchased a set of k398a3 weisco pistons, and there is a small machined dimple in the piston on each piston. 4 pistons have the dimple over the exhaust valve relief, the other 4 have the dimple over the intake valve relief. my question is does it matter which way the dimple points as long as the valve reliefs are pointed in the right direction ?

 

is it possible to put the pistons in back wards with the valve reliefs in the right location?

 

dimple means it points towards the front of the car.
