Default Which Timing Chain

I've seen the Cloyes for around $70, some for $130 and the SLP double Roller for like $180. Which one should I get?
My car will have stock heads, TR230/224 and all the bolt-ons. I will be shifting at 6600rpm. I'm probably looking at 420rwhp. The stock one only has 33k miles on it. I'm not even sure that I need one. Someone told me that big cammed cars should have one. I guess the ramp rates put more strain on them?? How do they relate?
And the engine might exeprience a 100-150 shot in the furture.
The cloyes timing chains are the same ones used in 800rwhp big blocks. I'm guessing that would be more than enough. But it is cheap. Will I get what I pay for or are all the rest overpriced? Thanks- Mike W.

And what about an oil pump? Will the ZO6 really do anything for me? Is it necessary? Tell me now while I have the engine opened up. I'm doing the cam in less than a month. Thanks again.

I'm on the same page as you are. Stock heads, TR230. I bought a double chain from Scoggins Dickey http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...&pid=90940
It comes with the necessary spacers for the oil pump. I'm going with the Oil pump thunder sells just because I have it all apart and might as well get it done now.

I just installed a Rollmaster double roller from Texas Speed and Performance. I got it for less than a $100.00. It seems to be extremely heavy duty. The main reason I switched was because my stock chain after 42,000 miles had some slack in it whereas the Rollmaster chain is very tight. The Rollmaster also comes complete with the oil pump spacers and new bolts. I also installed a ported oil pump from Thunder Racing along with an ASP pulley while I had the motor apart.

Rollermaster Double Roller Chain from SDPC2000.com. It costs about $80 but is the same thing that SLP sells.

My stock 01 chain with 20k miles had several degrees of slack (could grab it and giggle it).

The Rollmaster I heard is good, and the SLP also. I would do a oil pump... maybe the one from Thunder.

Are you relly expecting 420 RWHP from a stock headed car with the TR230. I guess that maybe anything is possible with these cars, but don't get your hopes for that magic number too high!

Good luck!
