what kind of power do you usualy get out of a 383, i was wanting to make at least 500rwhp and at least 490rwtq. Could i just go with a H/C and make this type of power and if so which head and came. and yes i know there is a stiky but it doesnt say specificly what heads and what cam. oh yeah and would it beable to be a dd

 

For that power level in a driveable car, do the 383.

 

my dads race car makes 600 crank hp outof a 388 witch is just a 383 bored 30 over. But its still carb'd and he doesnt really push it to the max, it has alot more left in it. Ive seen race motors make 825 crank h/p outof 392 N/A Cubes, It wasnt very stretable, but its all what you consider strteetable.
