Rocker arm contact patch with ETP 240 heads
Rocker arm contact patch with ETP 240 heads Has anyone had any issues with ETP 240 heads and the rocker arm contact patch using stock rockers and the ETP pedestals? Me and one of my buddys ordered two sets of ETP 240 heads, and both of us are having the same issue. It seems the rocker arm only touches about 1/3 of the valve. It seems that if the pedestal was a little bit thicker, it would be ok. The other option would be to buy some adjustable rocker arms. What do you guys think?
You might have to shim the stand up.
I think we have 30 thou. under mine. Try some different sizes to see what works best for your set up.
Mine is not 100% perfect but VERY close and I've been running my stock rockers for well over a year now with no issues.

Yea..I figured I may have to shim it up. The problem with that, is that I need to have a machine shop fabricate that type of piece for me. I can't just place a couple of shims under the pedestal, because it is a long piece and needs to sit flat.
