will the LS7 stock cam work in a LQ4?

I was looking at the specs for the LS7 cam (pn 12571251) and they look pretty good for an overall driveable cam.

int lift = .593
ext lift = .588
duraton = int = 211 exh = 230

The springs are PN 12621428 are a good price at my cost of $111.00 for the set.

Will this work in my LQ4?

I would clay up the piston to valve and then there is the issue of the camshaft position sensor. You could get a comp grind just like ti though.

GEN III vs GEN IV .... I dont believe it would work, cam sensor is in the wrong place...

That cam will be shitty. It was designed for the LS7 heads, which flowed AMAZINGLY on intake(hence short duration) but not as good on exhaust(hence long duration)

Get a real cam. It will drive better and make more power.

there are much better cams for your particular application for sale by the sponsors

from what you are saying, maybe something in the high 220's duration
