Default Is my bottom end needing replace?

1997 vette 40,000 miles,Patriot heads&cam(64cc),kooks,stock bottom end. This is there I stand right now. I have a ping or detonation noise I think. Noise starts as soon as car starts. Noise varys by throttle (93octgas) pulling hills in higher gear makes noise alot worst.Had car dyno in Aug. Did 405rwhp/385rwtor. But, had alot of oil in the intake, and now I have excessive oil blowby. Car smokes(blue) but not all the time. And has this DAM NOISE at all speeds & gears. When car was dyno it was 50% lean (not good). Got this car on the last day of may. car was running lean for sometime 2-3 yrs or 7,000 miles. Could the noise, pinging be due to carbon buildup in cylinders? I am at the point where I think I may need a new bottom end! PLEASE HELP!!!!! if u can thanx..........

Have you looked into your Knock sensors and O2 ? You might have the engine tested for compression or better yet, have a Leak Down test done.

If you have carbon build up. many have had success with Seaform, you can find a Sticky in one of the forum.

Knock sensors are under the intake on a ls1. There are 2 or them there. They detect any knock in the engine.

These are the knock sensors... in the valley under the intake manifold... it's under the two black plugs...

So, A (knock) the sensors would tell me? Right! As in what kind of knock(crankshaft, connecting rods, lifters, etc) Cuz, right now I have no codes..... I still think its in the heads, But would that cuz smoking, oil blowby, and this noise I still hear? Oil blowby is worst on right side, left side suck more on top of the heads.
