Yeh, I'm going with a mail order tune from Wait4me and then I'll take it and stick it on the dyno..

I figure $100 for the tune is worth it so I am not a nervous wreck for the 2.5 hour drive to the dyno..

Or get a wideband and monitor it. If going heads and not a huge cam driving on stock injectors and staying out of the gas............... I don't see the harm in that. As long as its straight there and thats it. Just my opinion though. Mail order tune wouldn't hurt being extra safe. Good luck!

I'm throwin' in a set of PRC 2.5 5.3L and a TR 224..

I am doing quite a few mods at once though..

there ya go, no worries than but what you described before is what I'll be doing. I'll be leavin my stock injectors in though. As for a wideband they can range from 250-500, I'd suggest the AEM its reasonably priced and can find them for even a better price in the for sale section or ebay for 225. Great tool but for H/C you probably don't need it, when I get my 408/turbo this is the one I'll be running. Cheap insurance
