ls2 timing chain questions

Default ls2 timing chain questions

when putting a ls2 chain on a ls1 motor. do you have to use ls2 gears aswell?

No i used my factory LS1 gears, just align the dots and you'll be set.

well i put the chain on and it was very loose.. what would cause this. the dots appeared to be ligned up

even if the dots arnt lined up correctly would that make a diffrence on how loose the chain is?? my factory chain looked loose aswell but not as loose as the ls2 chain i threw on there

I just put my ls2 chain on yesterday and it was loose also, just not quite as bad as the stock one w/ only 25k miles on it.
