having new engine issues...

i took the intake off yesterday before I went racing to change the oil sending unit... found the intake ports of the heads covered in oil, intake coated in oil.. etc etc... car was down a quart of oil after 200 miles...

engine had 500mi on it approx... babied for 350 of them.

Called the engine builder and we did a leak down on it...

we only did 3 of 8 cyls ... one had 8% the other two had 25%... so whats that all mean?

Not too happy at the moment.

My friend just added a catch can after the same situation, and that helped the problem. Running 20-50 also improved the oil usage. If you have thin rings you should expect some leak through. No big deal though.
