Why would flycutting cause failure of the piston...bad a/f ratio is what will kill that piston.
And flycutting and gaining horsepower 100% of the time vs the very few times you will actually be spraying is what I would rather have.
If you are worried about longevity of a motor...don't do h/c or spray, leave it stock and maintain it. Also with h/c and spray you should be more worried about those rodbolts letting go than if you flycut to much and worried about a piston.

I am in the same boat...don't know what head to get, but I want the MS4 cam. I went to TSP site and looked at their Head/Cam Packages....they offer ms4 cam with LS6 stage 1 heads, but don't offer MS4 cam with 5.3 stage 2.5 heads.
Whats the deal with that?
I don't want to flycut my pistons, because I don't trust myself doing that.
