Starter wiring need help....

Starter wiring need help.... Need some help wiring the starter in my 99 corvette. My new engine is in the bay and bolted down. My problem is with the starter wiring. Here is what I have
1 small purple wire which goes to the small terminal
2 wires red and brown which goes to the bottom terminal on the starter
1 small black wire which goes to the block
Where does the thick(14g) black wire go? To the block? To the starter?
