help me with cam please was looking at cams 4 1998 camaro ss.. I want something that sounds very very loppy at idle and makes good power..would this work for my car its lunati 237/242 lift 595/595 dur@50 237/242 lsa 112....or maybe give me some other cams to check into..please help me on this one ..my mods are..k/n filter..slp lid w bellow. hooker longtubes w catback..160 stat..hypertech computer programer and 4:10 gears..Its not a daily driver its just a weekend toy.. considering your car is a weekend only toy then you could go in any direction the cam you suggested would be good but if you would like a really choppy sound then i would start with LG motor sports any of the G5X cams or an MS 3 or 4 ,or just get a custom grind cam from any of the sponsers with a bigger duration my friend got a custom grind cam from texas speed and the cam i have is a G5X2 from LG it's 595/608 on a 112lsa now im not saying the bigger you go is better as far as hp goes but if you dont go to the track often but want something that sounds mean and can back it up on the street then what i have suggested would be a good start to look into take your time with this though and make sure your gonna be happy with what you buy . good luck man

with your spec i would never go more than 228 in duraton ,bigger cams will surge due to poor heads flow and intake as will , my sugestion get a cam like TSP 228R 112 or thunderracing 230-227 112 or 110 . it will lope and will back up your steert peformance alot more.or if you have a plan of getting heads in futuer get likewhat austin21 said a G5X2 or x1 112 or 110 and you will love it . good luck
