Default P0506 thrown code and power loss

I missed a shift and the problem started. Went from 3rd to 2nd instead of 3rd to 4th. It was only for a split second that I had it in 2nd. I checked the pushrods and they are not bent. They are hardened chrome molly. It sounds like an exhasut leak, a slight ticking and I have some power loss. I actually did have an exhaust leak that I have now fixed. The header gasket was leaking.

The ticking is still here even though I fixed the exhaust leak. I made sure all the spark plug wires were plugged in so I know it is not that.

Does this sound like a bent valve? Is there any other way to tell if I have bent a valve besides a compression check? What else could this be?

Thanks
