Maybe you could also do before and after dynos to disprove those who think this is a total waste of time....

Yes, Cal, they are tapered. I didn't realize this until Coolvet brought it to light. My thanks to LS1derful, and Coolvet for the swap idea!
Finally, I strongly agree with your idea that every bit helps. My occupation involves maintenance of phone circuits which may contain many gain or loss devices. If each device in any circuit is "off" a little bit, it can lead to failure of that circuit. Immersing oneself in a solitary item such as plug indexing can be considered ****, but, as you know, it's also part of a bigger picture. Thanks again for your comments! Glenn
