Default Which LSA

I have a 98 Z28 A4 with a 3000 stall TC and the rest of the mods in my sig. I want a bigger cam and emissision's will not be a problem. Will the TR224/112 LSA run good in my A4 or should I stay with the 114. I have stock gears also.
Thanks,
Warren

with an A4, i would stay with the 114. It will be much easier for dailydriving as well

Why is it better to stay with the 114 with a A4.
Thanks,

The 114 will make the engine run better at idle and just off idle. Since automatics stay in gear even when you stop, you need a better idle. With a M6 car, you just push in the clutch sooner to prevent surging, and buzz it up higher to take off. If you put in a high-stall torque converter at the same time as the cam, you can use a 112 LSA.

Honestly, if the 3000 stall is somewhat loose I would choose and ls1 even lower then 112 and see what happens. These tighter lsa's make hella torque and add some advance in the cam and your looking at maximum foot poundage right around the 3000 rpm point (where your stall locks). My cam is very smooth while above 1500rpms when warm which you will be almost all of the time with a 3000 stall. The idle is not that bad either. I used to drive it around on 3.42s with my m6 and it lugged along just find in sixth gear at 1400 rpms. I now have a 12 bolt with 4.11s. I posted the dyno graph, you might want to take a look. The cam is a custom grind designed by me:
224/224 (at .050), 565/565, 110lsa, 106icl
