after 2 months of getting my heads/Cam setup installed, I finally finished last night and gave her the first start up. Sounds great, only had it started for like 20 seconds, didnt even check the gauges, but it idled to smooth (i think becuase i set the set screw up to high) but over all, it sounds like everything should be ok. Tonight i'll go over everything. Thanks everyone for all your help. Specs are now: Raging MotorSports SII heads (2.02/1.57) using 5.3 truck heads. around 11.1 compression. cam specs are 228/236 .571.602 111LSA. Yella terra Shaft roller Rockers, asp pully, Comp "R" lifters, 987 double springs etc.......... all through an "X" pipe dual exhaust.

 

Did you notice a decline if the raspyness of the exhaust note? I just did my heads and suspect it is a function of more CR.
