Default I think I have a problem, but not sure need help

Yesterday I got on it pretty hard and not long afterwards my car stumbles and just a little down the road it starts to shudder under load. Then it goes dead and I can't crank it. I let it set a few seconds and turn the key and it cranks but, is knocking like a champ. So loud that it sounded like something just bouncing around in there. I go to try to limp home and it starts out rugged but, straightens out and runs like always. It hasn't done it again nor has it been knocking excessively loud. Only sound are the valvetrain because I have stock length pushrods and the '02 LS6 cam. So any ideas on what could have happened?
TIA

Daniel

What was the oil pressure during all this? How high did you rev it up to?
