Default How much?

i know yall get these all the time and are sick of them but i have a 98 z28 w/cold air and Lm exhaust. i was looking into putting in a cam, but my car has just over 122,000 mile on it and i dont want to blow the engine. when i put the cam in should i have some top end work done aswell? im a poor college student and dont have a lot of spare cash. its still a daily driver so i need a mid sized cam .any ideas
also if anyone knows a good shop in charlotte, nc to get done

thanks

If your car was taken care of, a cam swap at 122k will be just fine.

Make sure you at least get new valvespings and pushrods to go along with the cam.

If you have the extra money to spend, get some locks, seats, retainers, valve seals, and lifters.

My car is at 114K miles right now, and the last 40K+ have been cam or heads+cam. Car still runs great and makes power. As long as youve taken care of teh car right along, youll be fine.
