Default Oil consumption, possible PCV problem?

I finally decided to replace the plugs today cause I figured they're coated with oil since the car is burning oil lately. Anyway I got the plugs out and all 8 show signs of oil in the chamber and there is oil on the plug threads. I went and bought a new PCV valve too while I was at it.

I am sure since all 8 have oil on them it is a PCV issue because I highly doubt all 8 cylinders have leaking valve seals and/or valve guides or leaking piston rings. The only way to really get oil into all 8 cylinders would be by sucking it through the intake. After I replaced the PCV I went WOT and didnt notice anywhere near the amoung of smoking it does usually at WOT.

Im on track with my logic here right? Thanks guys.

I bought the LS6 valley cover/breather from sdparts.com following instructions from ls1howto.com. It's supposed to help a lot with PCV oil consumption. At the moment my heads are off and I haven't swapped in the new valley cover yet.

either this, which requires some cutting of the block or just a nice quality catch can, problem solved.
