sensor going bad or other?
sensor going bad or other? My car sometimes does something that I find somewhat odd. This doesn't happen everytime I drive the car, but once in a while. My oil pressure is ~45 at warm/hot idle, and if I'm idling, I'll look at the OP gauge and notice the needle doing a bit of shimmying, COMPLETELY coinciding with the piston slap-esque noise I am hearing. By shimmying I'm guessing it moves what I can best estimate as 2-3psi on the gauge, about as much as your volt gauge might move when the blinker is on. Sensor going bad? Or did I just not notice it before? This isn't fluctuation along the lines of +/- 15-20psi.
