The average joe blow wants to buy a cam for stock heads and install it in his driveway over a weekend.

A lot of these threads have been dealing with stock heads and big cams making big numbers. The intent may not have been to play a true numbers game, but thats the effect. Even though you can't compare dyno numbers, just the thought "I can install that cam and then...". Look at how many T1 or B1 cams (or knock-off T1 /B1s) were sold a few years back, TR cams in the last year, F1s or G-whatevers...

One guy makes good numbers from a cam swap, the seller of that cam is going to have a large increase in business. Thats great if the numbers aren't skewed in the sellers favor.
