Is it possible to use a standard 427 crank into an ls6 block to come out with a 383 stroker as a cheaper option to an eagle or other aftermarket crank?

 

You mean like a LS7 crank?
right off the bat I would say no because of the reluctor wheel, assuming they might swap.

I'm pretty sure the answer is a no. I asked this at PRI when I was at the GM booth and the representative there said there are two main problems:
a)The reluctor wheel is different
b)The crank snout is different because of the 2 stage pump.

I've never tried so I can't say for sure.
