Default PCV Breathers?

I broke off a thread on my oil fill elbow on the valve cover, and the hose for the PCV was ate through, so I am going to need to replace it. Just wondering if it is possible to just replace both with breathers and not have to deal with that crap, or do I need the oil fill tube and the PCV hose?

Don't really wanna replace it with the stock crap, and this will clean it up a lot.l I did some searches, but it was all theoretical answers. People running only breathers, what is the setup like, how do you like it, any problems?

i run a breather on the pass head and run a line from the driver side head to it.... or you could just get 2 pass side valve covers and run 2 breathers

I'm planning on the catch can set up and a Caspers Electronics breather that replaces your filler cap.

that is a common problem once you do this. Mike @ ICON showed me trick of wrapping a shop rag around the breather with a couple of tie wraps and said that is how alot of people do it. Works for me. Just change the rag when you change your oil.

Hey dude, look at my pics on fquick. I have a large diameter line off my oil cap to a catch can that is vented. I have the passeneger side blocked off and all the other crap as well. My pressure is released through the 3/4 inch line and any oil is trapped in the catch can. There is never any oil in the catch can now. The pressure can release through the big hole without pushing oil or having it sucked by the intake or vacum that the stock system uses. That's why ls1's suck oil all the time. Most people who dont or have never seen the heads off and ls1 dont see the oil on the intake runners and massive deposits in the chambers. Its ugly fo sho! and a definate performance effect.

Can I just JB weld the old PCV on the drivers side closed, and run the catch can like you do? Do I need to block anything else off since there is no cross over tube?
