Default Thunder Racing solid roller 346 is home :)

After a long wait, my motor is in the car, and the car is home. I can't wait to get it to the track next weekend (I hope ). I would be out driving it right now, but it's raining.

Not posting dyno numbers right now, because we didn't quite hit our goals. They weren't shabby, but they weren't quite what we wanted. If you want to see pictures, along with the whole (long!) story of Phase 1, click here to read about / look at it.

Thanks again to Evil Paul, Geoff, Jason, Angie, and the rest of the Thunder crew, as well as Allan Futral, for all your work. I'm excited about beating the hell outta... umm, err, driving the car again :p

Andrew, I bet the car is glad to be back home. Let us know how the car runs next weekend.

Phase II will be a nice improvement.

"Evil Twin" motor.. I liked that part. lol

BTW, check your mail.

Not as much as yours.

And thanks again, Jason. I can't wait to get more seat time in the car.

Thanks guys!

Hey Lamar! Good to see you around. Yep, I'm working on getting one of my cars fast. My others aren't so fast, but that's OK. Love the toys. Most of the time. :p

I went on my first drive around town this afternoon. Driveability was great - no stalling, chuggling, or anything like that. Still getting used to that manual rack. It's much better with the skinnies on there. I think I just about killled Paul and myself yesterday a couple times trying to make corners with the 275's up front.

Cheers,

Andrew

Yeah you had me worried a few times. Glad you are enjoying your car again.

Awesome dude, I think I may be going the same route as you in the future. I'm thinking more along the lines of a 382 solid roller but it really all just depends on what I can and can't afford. Thunder Racing seems to take care of people pretty well.

Thanks Jon.

Thunder definitely has taken care of me. During the period after Jason's motor had trouble, they offered all my money back even though they'd built most of the motor. I said "no, I want the motor".

It gets more fun every time I drive it. Can't wait to hit the track! Come on up to TAD this Saturday afternoon-evening, or maybe on June 28th. On the 28th, the 10.5" tire cars are running, so the track should be prepped and hooking. Time to spray.
