Default How to spec a cam??? Help me out!!!

I bought a used 233/239 r2 cam and I got it today and the numbers on the back (where they would normally go from TSP) have been dremeled away! How can I tell how much duration/lift this cam has?? I have a digital caliper. Would a engine shop be able to tell me the specs on it?

Here are some pics of the cam, I hope this guy did not send me a stock LS1 cam cause the paint on the cam looks like something GM would do at the factory

Or a shop with a cam doctor or similiar machine

I would be worried if the numbers are ground off the back.
