Default Fly-Cutting Pistons

I know I might have a problem with P-V clearance when I bolt my engine back together. I know it is cheaper to fly cut rather than buy pistons with valve reliefs. A question I have is in the future I might add nitrous as a mod. Will the fly cuttting stock pistons weaken them and would it be best to go with an aftermarket piston with valve reliefs. By the way who would have the best price?

Default Re: Fly-Cutting Pistons

You may try Dimond Pistons ( a sponsor)for this question.

He said the amount of material taken off does not impact the balance but I can;t remember if he said anything about the piston strength being impacted....my guess is it is OK....
