Default Ported heads and intake?

I was wondering if there is any reason to have a set of heads that can flow 300cfm if a LS6 intake cant even flow that? It looks like, to me, like a waste of money, unless someone can show me wrong.

Thanks
Jeremy

you also have to look at the midrange. A good set of ported heads will flow more at a higher velocity throughout the lift compared to a stocker, so even though the intake is restricting you from hitting the top numbers you are still able to get more air in than w/stock heads

I didnt mean stock vs stg2 porting. I meant for a comparison between like TEA stage 1.5 and stage 2. It doesnt seem like there would be a lot of gain going from the 1.5 to 2.

Here is what I meant. YOu can see that even with the LS6 intake, the LS1 ported heads dont flow much better then some 1.5 stage porting jobs.

Difference between TEA 1.5 and 2 is on the exhaust side, intake sides are identical, to the best of my knowledge, so I think you are confused

I think he's confused too.. Think of it this way, even if the LS6 intake's peak flow is ~280cfm, achieving that flow sooner in the valve's opening would make more power at the given RPM.
