Default ARP Studs please help

Can the stud kit be installed prior to setting the head on block, is there enough clearance to slide heads on. Or do they have to be installed with head on vehicle. Vehicle is 1998 Camaro Z-28

Install the studs before installing the heads. You have plenty of room.

yes....install the studs in the block, then install the heads. There is plenty of room and the studs will guide the heads into place.

note: remember to clay before you put everything together (p-to-v).

when I did mine I had to put the heads on first then put the studs in....but I've heard people say that they did them with putting the studs in first...I just don't understand how with the heater core getting in the way on the passenger side

Just installed head studs and then the heads 2 nights ago. ZERO problems. There is plenty of room in there. Didnt "look" like there would be, but there was.
