My old block..nick in cylinder

Gotta ? When my stock motor hydrolocked due to leaky heads it bent the #1 rod and got stuck agains the cylinder wall. My question is this little nick where the rod hit ( it locked up when starting the car) its at the very BOTTOM of the cylinder and im pretty sure the piston doesnt even go down far enough to touch this mark. If this is the case and a machine shop checked it out would you re use the block?

If a competent shop checks it out and they say it is OK, then you are good.

+1 on the machine shop checking it out. It's really hard to tell without a picture, an idea on how deep and, where the scratch is.
