Header/Exhaust Set up Hello All!
Planning on doing a new header/exhaust set up on my 1998 Trans Am (6 speed). I use the car as a daily driver and I am trying to come up with a good affordable system. I don't want the car to be too loud & raspy.
I am thinking about getting a set of Long tube pacesetters & y-pipe. For the rest of the exhaust....thinking about getting a Borla or Corsa catback. How would either of these setups match up with the Pacesetter longtubes & y-pipe? With this setup will I be able to make use of one of my existing cats? Or will I have to purchase a high flow cat? Again, I don't want to have a set up that is extremely loud but something thats sound pretty sweet esecially at WOT. If you guys have any recommendations, comments, etc. please let me know.

You can buy the pacesetters at TSP and pick up one of their catted ypipes. I'd go with a borla mouth which is a loud mouth with a X-1 borla muffler welded in the I pipe. Here is link for different setups:
