K im gettin really stressed out over this subject. No matter how much research I do I cant make up my mind!
K, I got a 97 c5 a4 with a 346ci. So far mods are CAI and LT Headers.
Next step I am doing h/c. I think I already have my cam picked out, im going with the TSP224R which I believe is 224/224 581 581 112 or something similer, its small.
I am on an extreme budget, as I am in college. I want some heads that will flow well with my cam, id put my goal around 400-420 hp but not set on that. I was originally set on Patriot Stage 2 LS6 heads because of their low cost and good results. Then I read about the possibility of LS6 heads and getting close results, but for about half the cost....which made me second guess PP...can anyone help me out here?

What kind of numbers would the PP put up? as compared to the LS6?

Im looking at the vengeance cam 226/228 on a 114 will be a breeze to tune with stock converter. Now the big thing is heads My goal is street machine not 1/4mile. The z06 heads are half the price of the PP ls6's.
I just have to figure if the differnce from 390 rwhp and 405 rwhp is worth 6-700 bucks

dude i know ur on a budget, i was in ur same boat before i did the mods in my sig. any way u can save a little bit more for some afr heads. with that cam the afr 205s would prob get u 420 if not a little more. but if it has to be now, i u dont think u'll change the heads for maybe a couple years, go with the patriot stage II

bought a damaged car and have been keepin it cheap since....but in response to the earlier posts, I also have the option of a Texas Speed (Comp Cams), 225/225, .595/.595 114, would this be a better choice? The seller made 437 hp on this cam with Texas Speed 5.3 heads....any idea what I set of ls6 of z06 would make with it? would it be close to 425?
