Rod bolt replacement questions...
Rod bolt replacement questions... I'm doing Stage 2 heads and cam this summer, and am seriously considering yanking the engine to flip it over and replace the rod bolts with ARP's.
Can the rod bolts be done 1 at a time to avoid removing the rods and bearings themselves?
It seems to me that this would be no big deal since I would loosen them both at the same time, replace one, finger tighten it, replace the other, finger tighten it, and then torque both to spec.
Any problems forseen there?
Oil pan will have to be off, might as well do a ported oil pump at the same time.

Re: Rod bolt replacement questions... I did mine one at a time. I removed one stocker, then replaced it with the ARP then torqued it. Then I did the other rod bolt. I did this for all eight rods and have had no problems.
